Miss Abel’s class is filling their backpacks for at-home learning and discussing social distancing. That means lots of changes in how we live, learn, and play. The students talk about what they’re doing to stay safe and healthy during the COVID pandemic and discover there are some new activities they enjoy—and want to keep doing!
Amy Stellman Regan, Karen Stroman Pardonner, and Wade Forbes grew up in Ewing, New Jersey. Motivated by a desire to help children navigate the rapid changes affecting their daily lives due to the COVID-19 outbreak, these longtime friends decided to create this book—with graphic design assistance from Karen’s daughter, Kelsey Pardonner. It is intended to support parents, grandparents, teachers, and caregivers as they teach the children in their lives how to understand their thoughts and feelings about what they are experiencing during quarantine, and recognize the positive changes they would like to keep, once our days and routines return to “normal.”
This is the companion journal for Caring Kids: Coping Rhymes for COVID Times. Use this journal to express your thoughts and feelings during the pandemic through drawing and writing. Size: 6"x9"
